Your Patient Journey
This information gives you an idea of what your journey may look like here at The Bespoke Clinic.
Please note, everyone is treated as an individual and therefore the exact process may vary for each person, but hopefully this will give you an essence of what to expect.
Let's begin
Discovery Call
This is a free 15-minute telephone call designed to help you decide whether The Bespoke Clinic is the right fit for you. During the call, you can briefly talk through your main concerns, symptoms, and what you are hoping to achieve. I will guide you on whether a functional medicine approach is appropriate, and what the next steps may look like. There is no pressure to proceed, it is simply a chance for you to ask questions and feel confident about your decision.
If it feels like the right fit, you will be invited to book a full initial consultation where we can explore things in more depth.
Initial Consultation
£385 | 60 minute consultation
Before Your Appointment
You will be asked to complete:
• A patient registration form
• A detailed symptom questionnaire (MSQ)
• A medical history form
• A consent form
These forms are an important part of the process, they allow me to begin understanding your health story before we meet, so we can use our time together more effectively.
During Your Appointment
This is a comprehensive, in-depth consultation where we explore your health in detail.
We will talk through your current symptoms, past health experiences, lifestyle, environment, and any relevant medical history. The aim is to build a clear picture of what is happening in your body, and why.
By the end of the appointment, you will have a personalised plan outlining the next steps. This may include targeted testing, as well as initial recommendations around nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle.
If appropriate, blood tests or wellness screening can be arranged either on the day or at a later time.
Most patients leave feeling clearer, more understood, and with a structured plan in place.
Blood testing and functional medicine testing is not included in the costs of the consultation.
Investigations & Testing
Not everyone will need testing, and many patients start with simple steps before considering anything more advanced.
Blood Tests
We offer in-house blood testing at the clinic with an experienced phlebotomist.
Tests are always tailored to you and based on your symptoms and clinical picture. In some cases, you may choose to have tests done via your GP, although the panels we use are often more detailed than those routinely available on the NHS.
If you are not local, we can arrange a home visit service where a nurse attends and collects your samples.
Prices for blood tests typically start from £97
Results are usually available within one week.
Advanced Functional Medicine Testing
In some cases, more specialised testing can be helpful to gain a deeper understanding of what is driving your symptoms.
Testing can help us move from a more general approach to something targeted and personalised.
These tests are only recommended where clinically appropriate, and we will always talk through the rationale with you before proceeding.
Examples include:
• Hormone testing, including DUTCH Plus
• Microbiome testing
• Organic acid testing
• Genomic and nutrigenomic testing
There are a wide range of options available, but there is no expectation to do everything. We take a step-by-step approach and focus only on what is most relevant for you.
Results from these tests typically take 3 to 4 weeks.
If You Have Only Had Bloods Done
- Results are usually available within one week
- A follow-up appointment allows us to go through your results in detail and agree a clear plan
- Your results will always be interpreted in the context of you, your symptoms, and your wider health picture
- You will receive a written summary of your results and personalised plan
30 minute follow-up | £190
If you have also had advanced functional medicine testing
- Results typically take 3 to 4 weeks to return
- These tests are more detailed, so additional time is needed to review and interpret them fully
- A longer follow-up appointment allows us to go through everything carefully and build a structured, personalised plan
- Your results will be explained clearly, so you understand what they mean and what to do next
60 minute follow-up | £385
If more than two advanced or detailed functional tests are carried out, we may recommend a longer follow-up appointment. This allows enough time to carefully interpret your results, bring everything together, and create a clear, personalised plan. We will always discuss this with you in advance, and in some cases a 90 minute appointment may be appropriate.
Follow-up appointments include more than the consultation itself. Time is taken beforehand to carefully review and interpret your results, and afterwards to develop your personalised plan, provide a written report, and organise any recommendations such as supplements, lifestyle advice, or prescriptions.
Ongoing Care
Ongoing care is tailored to you and your progress, and not everyone will need regular follow-up.
