It will include strength-based exercises which will not only help improve your bone health and density, make you fitter and stronger, but also lead to a healthier body composition, so there is less fat around your body and organs, and more muscle. We are not going to make you body-builder material (unless that is a look you are going for), but more toned and healthier overall!
Osteoporosis is a real issue affecting women because of the changes in female hormones, particularly during the perimenopause when bone density can drop rapidly. There are numerous studies proving that strength-based exercises can play a role in slowing down bone loss and several studies have even shown they can build bone. Here at The Bespoke Clinic we want to think about all the different ways we can reduce our risks of Osteoporosis or Osteopenia, and that may include, replacement of oestrogen, nutrition and strength based exercises
